The 2026.05.02 release introduces CNC tool management, setup queues, and user certifications, expanding CIMCO MNT into a complete solution for managing tools, setups, and workforce qualifications on the shop floor.

    CNC Tool Management

This release introduces full CNC tool management directly inside CIMCO MNT. You can now manage holders, cutters, drills, taps, inserts, and complete tool assemblies in one system.

Each physical tool can be registered with its own identity, tracked across storage locations, and monitored over time. You can record measurements, inspections, and tool life, while maintaining a complete history of usage and condition.

Operators also get a simple, touchscreen-friendly interface for handling tools directly on the shop floor.

    Tool Setup Queues

Tool setup workflows are now integrated with CIMCO Edit. Tool lists can be imported directly into a machine’s Setup Queue, where MNT validates the setup before it is approved.

You can immediately see which tools are ready, which need to be built or measured, and which require attention. Setup Queues can also be created manually, printed for operators, or exported back to CIMCO Edit.

    Shop Floor Workflow

Operators can work directly from the Setup Queue and machine tooling view, making it easier to prepare and validate setups before production.

    The workflow supports:

    • Clear validation and approval steps
    • Tracking of tool load/unload operations
    • Full visibility of machine pockets and tool status

    User Certifications

MNT now includes a complete certification tracking system for employees. You can track qualifications such as forklift licenses, welding permits, first aid, and machine-specific training.

Certificates clearly show their status, including valid, expiring soon, expired, or missing documentation. Administrators can manage all certifications, send reminders, and export reports.

    Certification overview

Each certificate also includes detailed information, history, and documentation tracking.

    Integrated with Inventory and Machines

Tool management is fully integrated with the existing Material Catalog and Inventory system. Consumable parts are tracked correctly with stock and cost, and tools can be linked directly to inventory items.

Each machine can show which tools are currently loaded, giving full visibility from planning to execution on the shop floor.

    A Broader Platform

With CNC tool management, setup validation, and certification tracking, CIMCO MNT now covers more of the daily workflows around machines and production.

From maintenance and service to tooling and workforce readiness, MNT continues to expand as a practical, shop floor-focused platform.

As always, we appreciate your feedback and suggestions. If you have any questions or comments about CIMCO MNT, please feel free to reach out to us.
