MNT Display for Android TV and Google TV
CIMCO MNT can now run notification screens directly on Android TV and Google TV using the new MNT Display app.
Instead of connecting a separate PC to each display, administrators can create a TV configuration directly in MNT, download an installation package, copy it to a USB stick, and install it on the television.
Each display receives its own secure display key and setup configuration, while MNT keeps track of the screen connection and when the television was last seen.
Secure and Flexible TV Configuration
Each TV can be configured individually and connected to the appropriate MNT fullscreen screen.
Administrators can define the connection, control allowed content, manage authentication, and rotate or revoke display keys when needed. The setup is designed so that televisions can run as dedicated information screens while remaining centrally managed from MNT.
MNT also includes installation guidance for different Android TV and Google TV families. Installation packages contain the app, configuration, checksums, and the relevant setup instructions.
Mobile Notification Screens
The fullscreen system has also been expanded with new Mobile Screens designed specifically for phones.
Mobile Screens can display the same types of information used across MNT notification displays, including notices, clocks, reported faults, scheduled maintenance, visitor and employee boards, web pages, and videos.
TV Screens and Mobile Screens are managed separately, making it possible to tailor content and layouts to the type of device being used.
More Reliable Fullscreen Displays
Fullscreen displays are now more resilient if the connection to the MNT server is interrupted.
If the server becomes temporarily unavailable, the display shows a clear connection message and automatically reconnects when communication is restored.
Video handling has also been improved. If a video slide cannot be played, MNT skips it automatically instead of stopping the complete screen rotation.
Improved Service Reports on Large Screens
Service Reports have received a new desktop layout designed to make better use of larger screens.
The main report content is shown in a wider left column, while important information such as report details, billing, status, and signatures remains available on the right.
A fixed top bar keeps important actions visible while scrolling, and time registrations and materials are presented in clearer tables.
The change applies to larger desktop screens only. Phone, tablet, PDF, and print layouts remain unchanged.
Better Closed Service Report Overview
The Closed Service Reports list has also been improved for users working with larger datasets.
Additional columns can be selected, headings remain visible while scrolling, and work time can now be summarized by technician and time type.
Currency formatting has also been made consistent throughout Service Reports, including the configured currency symbol and whether it should appear before or after the amount.
A Better Shop Floor Display Platform
With direct Android TV and Google TV support, Mobile Screens, improved connection handling, and video support, MNT can now be used more easily as a centrally managed information platform across production areas, offices, reception areas, and the shop floor.
At the same time, the improved Service Report interface makes daily service and maintenance work easier to review and manage on larger screens.
